Flour Bluff High School Sophomore, Analisa Gallegos, has earned a spot on the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Women’s Choir. Earlier in January, Analisa auditioned during the TMEA All-State Area choir auditions in McAllen, Texas, where she earned a seat in the All-State Women’s Choir.

TMEA is the state organization that sponsors the All-State audition process. Students audition in their region and perform selected music for a panel of judges. Top musicians at Regions move on to compete during Area auditions. The top Area auditioning students earn a spot in the All-State Mixed Choir, All-State Women’s Choir or the All-State Men’s Choir.

As part of the All-State Women’s Choir, Analisa will perform duiring the TMEA Convention in San Antonio in mid-February. The convention brings together educators and performers from across the state and features exhibits, performances and clinics. Analisa will participate in All-State rehearsals and activities in early February to prepare for the February 16th concert in San Antonio on the closing day of the TMEA Convention.

During the TMEA Area Choir auditions, two additional FBHS Choir students, Nathaniel Reyes and Lana Driscoll, auditioned earning their TMEA Area patches.
