The state and nationally ranked Flour Bluff Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) earned the top spot as a Qualifier for the Texas State NJROTC championship. The State Qualifying Hill Country Classic Drill Meet was held at Smithson Valley High School during the first weekend in October.

During the NJROTC Area 10 Hill Country Classic Drill Meet, the Flour Bluff NJROTC Unit finished second overall for the drill events and physical  fitness. The first place spot the group received in the Academic events earned them the top spot and first place ticket to the 2018 Area Texas State Navy NJROTC Championship set for late March in College Station.

Flour Bluff High School was the recent site for the Sea Hornet Classic JROTC Drill Meet. They hosted 15 JROTC units from local area high schools as well as units from Houston and San Antonio.

Congratulations Sea Hornets on Qualifying for State!
