The Flour Bluff ISD second parent speaker series is coming up on Tuesday, May 4. The Parent Speaker series, held a few times during the school year, addresses various topics geared at providing resources to ensure student success. We are bringing back speaker, Dr. Layne Pethick, who will be conducting an online presentation about how to use brain research to make a difference for children in our schools and at home. Dr. Pethick is a Behavior and Autism Spectrum Disorder Consultant for the Education Service Center, Region 10.

Parents interested in hearing from Dr. Pethick are asked to register for the event.  The May Parent Speaker session will be held via Zoom. Once you register for the event, you will be emailed the Zoom meeting information. Following Dr. Pethick’s presentation, Dr. Pethick and FBISD campus counselors will be on-hand to speak with parents one-on-one, answer any follow-up questions and provide additional information.

For parents who are unable to attend, the session will be recorded and hosted on the District’s YouTube channel.
