Flour Bluff High School Choir students took part in the TMEA Region/Pre-Area Mixed and Region Treble Choir auditions held at Tuloso-Midway HS on Saturday, November 2. The competition is the second of three rounds in the All-State process. During the event, 300 high school student musicians audition for the coveted seats in the Region, Pre-Area Mixed and Region Treble Choirs.

In the Region Mixed choir, only 20 girls per section and 20 boys per section advance. The top 30 in Region Treble auditions sing in the choir. Finally, the top five chairs in Mixed Choir advance to Area auditions in January for a chance to sing in the All-State Choir.

Sixteen Flour Bluff High School students snagged a spot in the Region Mixed or Treble Choirs. Of those, four students are area candidates and one student is an alternate.

Results are as follows:

Region Mixed Choir:
Soprano 1: Taylor White, Emery Tremlett, Analisa Gallegos
Soprano 2: Olivia Garcia
Alto 1: Agnes Garcia, Caitlyn Edwards
Alto 2: Lana Driscoll
Tenor 1: Clayton Loy
Tenor 2: Walter Mitchell
Bass 1: Destynn Hatcher, Christian Rider, Logan Elliott
Bass 2: Miles Berru

Region Treble Choir:

Area Candidates:

Congratulations to these student musicians on their success! Best of luck to the five musicians advancing on to the area/state rounds.
