Flour Bluff Independent School District (FBISD) Superintendent Velma Soliz-Garcia has announced the selection of the District’s newest principal. Mrs. Linda Medley has been named the principal at Flour Bluff High School. The Flour Bluff ISD Board of Trustees officially approved the selection during tonight’s Regular Meeting of the FBISD Board of Trustees.

Linda Medley has been in education for 16 years. She was a teacher for five years before moving into other school district roles including a campus assistant principal and holding positions in curriculum and instruction departments.

She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Education Management from the University of Houston in Clear Lake. Mrs. Medley also holds a superintendent certification from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

“I am blessed to work with supportive staff, students and parents that have embraced me during my role as Interim Principal,” said Linda Medley. “I look forward to maintaining a strong Flour Bluff culture that heavily emphasizes tradition, partnerships and educational opportunities that ensure the success of our students in college and career readiness.”

“I’m excited to have Mrs. Medley at the helm of our premier high school,” said Velma Soliz-Garcia, Flour Bluff ISD Superintendent of Schools. “Her student-centered focus and drive made her the top choice for the lead role at Flour Bluff High School. I look forward to her continued work moving the campus forward with innovative educational opportunities for students.”

Linda Medley was named interim principal of Flour Bluff High School in early March. She replaces Mr. James Crenshaw who was the principal of Flour Bluff High School for 14 years and is now the District’s Deputy Superintendent.
