Flour Bluff Homecoming is just around the corner. The week-long event will kick-off with the Homecoming Parade on Monday, October 7.
The parade route will be begin at 6 p.m. at the corner of Compton Road, head south on Waldron Road and end at Flour Bluff Hornet Stadium. Waldron Road will be impacted by the parade. Barricades will begin being placed along Waldron from Compton Road to Glenoak Drive at 4 p.m. All access points from Compton Road to Glenoak will be blocked beginning at 5:30 p.m. until the parade concludes. In addition, the parade staging area at 1st National Bank and Compton Road will be only accessible to parade floats beginning at 4 p.m. until the parade begins at 6 p.m.
Following the parade, the District will hold the Swarm, a district-wide pep rally, and the Burning of the “FB” to celebrate the beginning of Homecoming Week.
Flour Bluff HS Student Council is busy planning “Hornet Spirit” week activities and the Homecoming dance. Additional information on spirit week activities is available on the High School website.
Prior to kick-off of the Homecoming game on Friday, October 11, the High School Homecoming Court will be introduced and the Homecoming King and Queen will be announced.
Flour Bluff HS PTSA is selling homecoming mums as a fundraiser for scholarships for senior students. There are a variety of sizes available for order and mums can be customized. Deadline to order is Thursday, October 10. Click here for more information.
The Flour Bluff Hornets will take on Victoria East High School for the 2019 Homecoming game on Friday, October 11, at Hornet Stadium. Kick-off time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available for purchase the week of the game online. Click here to access the Ticket Tracker website. Go Bluff!
