Flour Bluff High School has once again won the 5A-District 29 University Interscholastic League (UIL) Academic Championship! Flour Bluff ISD students and teams participated and placed in a variety of events in March.
“These students have worked incredibly hard this year,” said Pam Pailes, FBHS UIL Academic Coordinator. “Students have met virtually and in person with coaches, practiced in small groups online and on their own. They have gone above and beyond in a year when some schools in Texas did not even send teams to their Academic contests.”
The purposes of the UIL Academic contests are to motivate students through comprehensive competitions, challenge students to think critically and provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of essential knowledge and skills.
Congratulations to all the many hard-working, talented and brilliant Flour Bluff High School students and coaches. We wish them luck for the Region IV-5A contest coming up on April 17th.
