On Saturday, January 27, Flour Bluff Early Childhood Center will hold the 2nd Annual Community Resource Fair. The community is invited to attend and receive a variety of information and services for children and their families from local community organizations.
Last year’s event was a huge success! Parents, children and community members can expect to receive give-a-ways and other resources from various organizations including local doctor’s offices, Driscoll Children’s Hospital, the Texas Department of Public Safety, United Way of the Coastal Bend, Ident-A-Kid, H-E-B and many others. Free blood pressure and glucose screenings will also be taking place.
Across the nation and the state of Texas, including Corpus Christi, the Flu season has been particularly bad this season. Free Flu Shots will be available to individuals who have healthcare coverage and $12 per person for individuals with no insurance. There will be a limited number of free flu shots for individuals without health insurance.
This free event will also have fun activities for the children including moon jump, free books and free popcorn.
The Coastal Bend Blood Bank will be on-hand for individuals wishing to donate blood. The Blood Drive is in support of ECC family member, Morgan Thomas.
